phil the hitbox isnt broken its just tighter than the merge lane at the 405/101 interchange during rush hour (learned that the hard way commuting from pasadena to santa monica back when i still had that commute) slash resist acc + sideways roll frame 1-3 is the only consistent setup i found on deck after a bunch of attempts. that epic sword from the forest falls off hard in p2 unless you have a crazy crit build going. gacha rates are definitely trash though, completely feel you on that part.

storm dragon hits lightning in phase 2, so if u got any resist accessories slot those instead of pure atk. also the tail slam has a big tell, roll sideways not back. if ur still dying with max pots it might be a dps problem, upgrade the forest sword more or use buff consumables before the phase change. gacha rates do suck lol but that boss is beatable without em.
@ciao_tonyNgl the storm dragon just feels like a poorly tuned gear check instead of a fun fight. The lightning pattern is easy to read, but that tail slam hitbox is completely broken on my Steam Deck.

The music during that transition goes so hard honestly, love how the brass kicks in with the lightning. Visual tells can be kind of rough to read on Steam Deck though, so I kept messing up my dodges. Phase 2 really just wrecked me over and over until I finally got the timing down on his big attacks. The forest sword helps a ton with damage at least. Took me a bunch of tries to finally get the clear but it felt great when it happened.
Had the same exact problem on my first run. Slap on a lightning resist accessory, it cuts down the damage a ton in phase 2. When he does the tail slam roll sideways, not backward, or the hitbox still catches you. Also just back off right after the big lightning burst so you actually have time to pop a pot.
