Hey Stevie... I'm honestly not the best at parrying either, so I can't give you a perfect frame or anything. But for me, the visual cue always felt like it was lying to me, so I started pressing the button a little earlier than felt natural... like, right when the enemy's arm starts to move rather than when the flash or whatever appears. It took a while to unlearn the cue, but once I did it clicked more often. Maybe try on a slow, early enemy just to practice the feeling? Don't give up just yet... it gets easier once you learn the rhythm of the specific attacks. I hope that helps a bit...
