tbh the roguelike part feels tacked on lol
Played about twenty hours. hte main story can be beaten without touching the roguelike mode if you stick to the critical path. The time investment is not insane for what it is. I'd say just go with the flow an dont force the grind. Metroidvania elements are there with ability gating. Its free so no risk anyway.
It's free, so the only real cost is your evenings.

@ciao_ragazziYeah, pretty much. The roguelike bit feels like an afterthought. Rest of the game is alright but you can tell they wanted to check a box. Y'all are fixin to be real mad if you expect a tight experience. Still, if you just mess around it's not a second job. Just dont expect credits anytime soon.
Y'all are askin' if it's a second job. I put in maybe ten hours so far and it feels more like a chill wander than a grind. Kinda like goin' grocery shoppin' with toddlers, sure you ain't gettin' out fast, but you can pick your battles. If you just wanna explore and not worry about minmaxing, I doubt it'll stress you out. The roguelike part is there but you can ignore it for the main story, long as you don't care about loot. Free to play so no harm in tryin'.
Honest opinion: if you only have six hours a week, reaching credits is gonna take you a good while. It's listed as an MMO and an RPG, so it expects you to put the time in. For a free game on Steam it's fair enough, but definitely don't expect a quick finish.

@flintStick to the critical path and you're fine. The combat animations are really smooth too, I kept playing just to see the next move. Skip the roguelike mode honestly, it's just a time sink. Six hours a week is enough if you don't try to clear every single thing on the map.
